Having Marilyn Monroe as my ultimate beauty icon might seems a little stereotypical and you're probably thinking what else could be said about the famous blonde bombshell, but this is my take on it. When I was first informed about the House of Fraser Beauty Ambassador competition; all about writing an inspirational post on your personal beauty icon & how you could represent their signature style (you can read all about it on the official House of Fraser blog) I immediately thought of Marilyn Monroe. Initially I was put off by the idea as I wasn't sure how I would portray her and stand out from what everyone else has said before, but here I am writing this post…

Life Lately
Bobbi Brown Calypso Cheek Palette
Not too long ago I was having one of the luckiest weeks in the year as I won two beauty giveaways within the space of two days & this Bobbi a Brown Calypso Cheek Palette was one of them from the lovely BeautyLymin (thank you once again for hosting such a great giveaway). I've never had a change to try out Bobbi Brown blushes, apart from one of their Pot Rouges which is cream based, so I was delighted with this palette from the very first look. The packaging is very sleek & luxe, which I really like, as it's perfect for popping in your travel makeup bag. But most of all it's the shades that stand out for me which are just beautiful and they suit my skin tone beautifully.
Honey Bronze for a natural glow
You might have seen me introducing these Body Shop beauties a while back after attending the brand's recent press release here, so after trying them out for a few weeks I thought I would share my opinions with you. The Body Shop already had an existing Honey Bronze* range which I indulged in last summer, but these are all brand new spanking additions to the range. At first I wasn't sure that I would get much use out of the tinted mist & face gel as I don't normally use tanning products, but I've definitely changed my mind. So you can say that once again I am super impressed with these gorgeous summer releases & I'm giving The Body Shop a big thumbs up. By the way I am not sponsored or obligated to post about The Body Shop, incase you might be wondering why I am forever raving about them, I just generally love their products... So let's get onto the actual products that I'm supposed to be reviewing today.
